About the Books:
The Forgotten: Heir of the Heretic
Published via Createspace and Amazon Digital Services LLC on December 16 & December 19, 2016
"The Forgotten: Heir of the Heretic" was just released via Createspace December 16, 2016, in both Kindle and paperback formats. I'm excited to share this new story set during the time of the Amarna period with you!
The cover design was done by me. I am so excited by how it turned out. I purchased a couple images from Shutterstock and put this together. As my character is young throughout the storyline, I thought the central image worked quite well, and the background harkens back to book 1.
Let me know your thoughts! I look forward to your reviews and feedback.

Early reviewer excerpt:
ZS from Amazon: "Having enjoyed Aten's Last Queen, the first book in The Forgotten series, I anticipated the release of the second book quite eagerly, and I must say, disappointed I was not! The same magical blend of meticulously researched history presented with poignantly vivid, realistic story of real-life characters and their daily lives and struggles kept me glued to my Kindle this time as well...A beautiful story and an amazing history lesson. Highly recommended!"

Where to Purchase:
Jj from Goodreads: "I loved this book! It's set back in ancient Egypt, but the author has a great way of making the characters come to life! J. Lynn Else is beautifully descriptive in her writing, so you feel like you are there, can see the things they see, and can almost reach out and touch the scenery. She effortlessly weaves the historical information in with the fiction, creating a rich story full of love, loss, betrayal, faith, and family."
Bibiana from Amazon: "This book is beautifully descriptive of the sights, sounds, and customs of ancient Egypt. This, combined with a fascinating plot and a lovable heroine, makes for excellent reading."
LaTina from Amazon: "This is a great story about an amazing character from history. I was pulled into the story of An, who is seen first as a child, and followed into adulthood. The details are crisp and vivid. Her life is utterly fascinating. I appreciated her story and the historical events that were a part of her remarkable life. I appreciated the author's ability to keep An's story in the foreground while including the important historical events seemlessly in the background."
Kait from Goodreads: "The best book I have ever read!"
Book Group Discussion Guide:
How it began…
The exhibit, Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs, sparked the idea for my book. This revealed some fantastic exploration into the world of pharaohs with an emphasis on King Tut. I took the longest time of our tour group to go through it too!!! I loved standing in front of the pieces and simply gazing up at them. They were so beautiful.
One of my favorite pieces was a sketch done by an artist of Akhenaten's daughters. I loved seeing the light design carefully crafted and refined.
I knew from all I read and saw at this exhibit that the story of King Tut's wife needed to be explored!
