My FIRST box of Timely Tea arrived 2/20/2016. It even had a little chocolate inside! How *sweet.* However, if this is my "tea goodies," I was hoping for a little more tea-nerdy-ish. Hopefully, the next boxes will fulfill the plural form as advertised as "goodies" and include something more tea related.
I like the variety offered with these three options. There is a tea good for mornings, for mid-afternoon, and evenings. There's green, black, and herbal. The three options are varied, which I appreciate. If it had been three rooibos teas, I would have been very sad as rooibos is one of the few tea types I dislike.
I like how the box includes the ingredients and directions for each tea included. Easy and succinct.
Also included are satchels to use for your tea. Cute idea for those new to tea or who do not have steepers for their mugs (which, if you're familiar with tea, why do you not have this essential item, right?). I guess this is the company's advertised "steeper." I did use one satchel for the fruity sangria when making a cup of it iced. My daughter loves it! Definitely a refreshing blend. However, I try to steer away from tea bags/satchels as they do not allow much room for the leaves to move and aerate and thus properly steep.
My favorite of this box was Mango Rose. With lovely notes of mango and floral sweetness, this tea provides a smooth green tea great for a mid-day refresher I think the flavor profile is a little bright for the evening, but good at any other time of the day. Easy to drink with gently fruity.
TimelyTea box #2 arrived around the same time in March. This box offered up a super cute tea steeper along with its selection of three teas (which, however, should only be used for large-leafed teas - didn't work well with the rooibos). I like the variety this box has offered so far. It gives you different blends each time - like a green, a black, and a rooibos.
My favorite of this box was the Orange Blossom, which i find to be an excellent morning tea, lightly sweet, with an inviorating citrus twist.
